[ The Children of God and The Promise of God ]


Trough the Bible God calls us "children of Promise"

Gal. 4:28 『Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise.』


In this verse, who are "you" and "brothers"? the book of Gal was written by Paul. Are they means physical brothers of Paul? Absolutely not. "Brothers" means the members of early church, God's Children, those who received salvation. Then if you are a children of God you should know what is the God's promise.


1 John 2:25 『And this is what he promised us-even eternal life.』

God promised us Eternal life. Let's think about "Promise". Everyone tries to keep the promise. For example, you have a promise with your professor to meet tomorrow 1pm. What will you do tomorrow morning? Might be you are going to prepare meeting. Even a man tries to keep a promise, how about God? Surely God give us eternal life. But do you know through whom God give us eternal life?

One day a man helped a woman, so she promised to give gift in return for his good deeds on the next day in her office. But he forgot the promise and he didn't appear on that day, can he get the gift? In the same way we should know through whom God give us eternal life-try to find way. How is eternal life given to us?

Rev 4:11 『You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, 

for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.』

What is the God's will in creating "mother" as "main life giver"? All living beings are got their life by their mother. God can make father as main life giver, but God didn't. 

Our physical life is given by our physical mother. In the same way our spiritual life is given  by our spiritual Mother.

All living beings heritage their mother's lifespan. Why is the natural lifespan of a dog 10 to 12 years? It's because the lifespan of mother dog is 15~18 years. Why do mayflies have a short life? Because a mother mayflies have a short life. Who can give us eternal life? God the mother who live forever give us eternal life.

If Eternal life is given to us through God the Mother, Bible should tell us the existence of God the Mother. To the next step let's find the God the Mother in the Bible.

[ God’s Two Images in the book of Genesis ]

We can discover the existence of our spiritual Mother through the Bible.

Gen. 1:26-27 『Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness…” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.』

Until now, we have only known God has male image. But this verse testify God also has female image. We called upon the male image of God: “Father.” Then how shell we call upon the female image of God? Logically, we should refer to God’s female image as “Mother.” 

This is the reason God had said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness.”

The word “us” is a plural term. “Elohim,” the Hebrew word used in place of “God” in Genesis 1:26, directly translates to “Gods,” the plural form of the word “God.” Therefore, the references to “us” in the book of Genesis refer to God the Father and God the Mother. 

Some say that the word “us” in this verse indicates God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. If this argument is correct, there should be three types of people in the world? On this earth there are only two types of people: men and women. 

Therefore, the “Gods” mentioned in Genesis 1:26 are the male image of God and the female image of God - God the Father and God the Mother.
